Winter in Oklahoma is anything from warm and sunny to bitterly cold with snow flurries. Of course, if you wait five minutes it'll change.
The area gets it's name from the selenite gypsum in the ground, pieces catching the fading light like stardust, pieces of brightness caught by the earth.
There's something about the change in seasons that makes me want to take road trips, to bundle up in the car and just pick a direction and drive until the scenery is different.

There's a lot of personality here and I loved the unique headstones. I loved the little bits of story and reading about the person's life. One of my favorites had Give life the best that's in you for it's only a one night stand there are no repeat performances brought back by popular demand.
Norman has a small town feel, maybe because of the collage, it seems that a lot of collage towns feel the same, but I always think of it as part of Oklahoma City for some reason.
Something I've found myself loving is photographing HEMA tournaments. When I picked up a camera a few years ago I never thought I'd be in the position to photograph this kind of thing.
I don't think anyone would argue if I said the best part is the food. I love the deep fried everything, especially the Twinkies.
Logically I know these moments are fleeting. Sometimes I feel it. And sometimes I feel like I'm doing good just to get their faces washed and teeth brushed.
I'm never going to get tired of bragging about my cousin. Seriously, this woman is incredible. She's dedicated, caring, and honest.
I never get tired of visiting the Wichita Wildlife Refuge, no matter what time of year I go, it's always beautiful. And the view from the top of Mt. Scott will always be one of my favorites. But going in the spring is the best time. Everything is in bloom, the rolling hills and plains covered in yellow flowers and cacti with purple blossoms.
I was so excited when Tara said she was totally in for doing a mask photo session downtown Oklahoma City. I loved the idea of doing something out of the ordinary
